Emmitsburg, MD: The Vigilant Hose Company is excited to announce that the popular Six of Hearts raffle has reached a jackpot of $270,000, our largest jackpot ever! The weekly game of chance is drawn every Monday at 7PM from the Fire Station located at 25. W. Main Street., Emmitsburg.
The Monday, July 25th 2022 drawing is currently at a jackpot amount of $270,000. Earning your chance at the jackpot is easy. Stop by the station anytime daily from 6AM - 8PM and purchase your chance. Each entry is only $5. The goal of the game is to have your ticket drawn during the weekly drawing and then have your corresponding card number reveal the Six of Hearts. Only one ticket is drawn per week and only the name drawn can win. Each week the Six of Hearts is not discovered the jackpot will continue to grow! The jackpot for the next drawing on July 25th is $270,000. Even without revealing the jackpot card, the winner is guaranteed at least $200 depending on the card revealed.
VHC offers a drive-thru every Monday where players can drive into the VHC apparatus bay from West Main Street for easy access. Each drawing is held live on VHC's Facebook page. Tickets for this fundraiser are only available in person from the fire house or during any event at the VHC Activities Building. Proceeds from the Six of Hearts and other VHC fundraising events go directly to support our efforts in providing Fire/Rescue/EMS to Emmitsburg and surrounding communities. VHC is currently in the process of replacing Tower 6 our 1995 100' ladder truck. It's replacement is scheduled for delivery in 2023 will be a 100' rear mount Pierce Enforcer with a cost of $1.6M. Also available for raffle are VHC's 'Mystery Coolers'. For $10 a chance participants have a chance to win a cooler valued at $250 plus an additional $500 in a mystery prize inside. Past prizes include $500 cash, pistols, MD Lottery Scratch off's and more. Only 150 tickets are sold per cooler and they are available at the firehouse. |
