Emmitsburg, MD: The Vigilant Hose Company is pleased to announce that the popular Six of Hearts raffle is nearing the final drawing of 2023! The Monday, December 18th drawing will serve as the final drawing for the year and has jackpot value of $125,000. The weekly game of chance is drawn every Monday at 7PM from the Fire Station located at 25. W. Main Street., Emmitsburg. As per county regulations the drawing cannot continue over into a new calendar year.

The December 18th drawing is currently at a jackpot amount of $125,000. Earning your chance at the jackpot is easy. Stop by the station anytime daily from 6AM - 8PM and purchase your chance. Each entry is only $5. The goal of the game is to have your ticket drawn during the weekly drawing and then have your corresponding card number reveal the Six of Hearts. For the final drawing of the year we will continue to draw until the Six of Hearts is found. Every ticket purchased thru 6:45pm Monday will remain in for the drawing.

The first drawing will be held at 7pm and the winner will receive the regular weekly value of the card revealed. Every eligible ticket after will receive $100 until the Six of Hearts is found. Eligible tickets are only those cards that have not yet been turned over.

The drawing will be held live on VHC's Facebook page. Tickets for this fundraiser are only available in person from the fire house. There are no online sales for this event. A complete listing of rules is available in the playing area. Monday ticket sales will stop at 6:45PM

Proceeds from the Six of Hearts and other VHC fundraising events go directly to support our efforts in providing Fire/Rescue/EMS services to Emmitsburg and surrounding communities. VHC is anticipating delivery of our new Pierce rear platform tower ladder with delivery in the coming weeks and we are actively engaged in design of the replacement of Engine Tanker 64. All of VHC's apparatus is 100% owned by the company.

Also available for raffle are VHC's Coolers For $10 a chance participants have a chance to win a cooler valued at $250 plus an additional $500 cash prize inside. Once there are more than two coolers sold off we will raffle one cooler for $1,000. Only 150 tickets are sold per cooler.
